The results of Heather’s work are simply astounding! I originally contacted Heather because my gelding was leaving his hocks behind, had become sway-backed, and had developed “weird” muscling that looked like pockets of fluid for lack of a better description. Zippo is now able to lift his back, use his hocks and float across the ring. He continues to improve with each ride and she was even able to release the scar tissue at the base of his tail allowing full movement of his tail again. After Zippo’s first session, I decided to have Heather work on my niece’s mare that had been deemed “beyond help.” She had sustained a shoulder injury a year prior and subsequently developed lameness in both front feet. We were told after extensive diagnostics that there was nothing we could do to heal her. Dreamer had a “Sweeney” shoulder due to nerve damage (or so we thought) and her shoulder was pretty much gone. She had not been rideable for the last year. Prior to the start of the first session, she was lunged so Heather could assess her movement. She moved to the best of her ability, but was very lame and completely unable to canter. Approximately five minutes into the session, Heather released Dreamer’s shoulder and left me absolutely speechless. Her shoulder was back and all of the blood vessels in her neck were popped open and allowing blood flow again. By the end of Dreamer’s first session, we couldn’t get her to stop cantering! After five sessions with Heather followed by a session with the chiropractor (at Heather’s suggestion), Dreamer is now ready to start rehabilitation under saddle. We even had Heather work on our Quarter-pony because the results with our other two horses were so amazing. Although he didn’t have any specific issues we were trying to treat, we saw a tremendous change in his freedom of movement. Several other people from our barn also decided to have Heather work on their horses because the results were so impressive. Heather’s knowledge is unquestionable and all of our horses have experienced a dramatic improvement in both their movement and comfort. I truly believe that every single horse could benefit from having this done! We were so impressed that my husband is now getting “rolfed” and is experiencing the same amazing results. Thank you Heather!!

TC Dunnit Without, or Rooster as his friends call him, had a great year showing as a 3 year old. He earned his ROM in Western Pleasure with IBHA and won the Buckskin Congress Western Pleasure Futurity along with being the Reserve Champion in Hunter Under Saddle 14-18.
We were never quite sure if it was from an injury or some other cause, but Rooster wasn’t moving like he could the Spring of his 4 year old year. After lameness exams, x-rays, weeks of rest, and stifle joint injections, he was better but still not moving the way we knew he could. We didn’t know what to do next. Our horse with so much potential was not able to do is job.
I have known Heather since she was 15 years old. I like to take a little credit for helping foster her love of horses. We talk on a regular basis, and I was sharing my frustrations about Rooster with her. Heather came out and started working with him. Immediately you could see results. His stride was bigger and looser, and he looked happy again! We put him back to work, and after having most of the show season off, he went on to compete and do well at Buckskin Congress and a few other shows.
2009 was a banner year for Rooster and my daughter Ashleigh. They are IBHA World Champions in Hunter Under Saddle 14-18. They also did great, placing in the Top 5 in Junior Hunter Under Saddle and Western Pleasure at the World Show. The team ended up as Top in the Nation in ABRA HUS 14-18 and Honor Roll in Junior HUS.
We owe so much of our success to Heather and her Myofascial Release treatments. Without her, Rooster couldn’t have gotten his big trot back and with it all the show ring success.

Thanks so much Heather!

My driving trainer suggested I contact Heather when we began driving lessons as my 7 year old Haflinger, Will, had a reduced range of motion and some apparent structural issues . I bought him and put him into a weight reduction and fitness program about 6 months ago. He had become restricted in his shoulders due to poor saddle fitting and was not able to use his back properly with major stiffness issues on bending right. He had a turned in front leg that caused consistent tripping and I thought was a permanent structural blemish. I have used a chiropractor and massage professional consistently, but Heather’s treatment made a significant change in range of motion, structural changes in his back and shoulders and a huge difference in the front leg. The treatment allowed it to straighten itself back up considerably by freeing up the muscle, tendons, and ligaments to correct themselves. I have seen changes in his movement as well as attitude during work and tripping has been reduced to almost non existence. Heather’s perceptiveness and view of the horse is immediately seen in the first few minutes of your first session. The horses love her, and she gives them the chance to accept and process the treatment. I had the opportunity to watch her work with several different horses all with different issues. In all I was able to see change immediately and from one session to another the change continues to improve. With one horse the owner couldn’t believe how the neck lengthened. They thought they were imagining it except that everyone else saw it as well. With Will the change in shoulders and the front leg were almost magical. I thought I was imagining it until my eventing trainer saw it as well. I will continue to keep the chiropractic maintenance monthly and look forward to Heather seeing him for his first tune up in three months! Before and after pictures tell the story! I hope to update the picture in three months to show his continued progress!!!
Will and I both thank you Heather!!
